Privacy Policy
What we do with your information, in plain language.
This policy explains what Siloam Word and Power Ministry does with personal information collected through swpministry.com. We have tried to write it in plain language, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
Last updated 11 August 2026.
Who is responsible
Siloam Word and Power Ministry is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy: Email [email protected], or write to us at 1209 Main Street East, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada L8K 1A3.
What we collect, and when
We only collect information you give us. There is no tracking of who you are or where else you go on the internet.
When you send us a message
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and your message. We use it to reply to you and nothing else.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
We store your email address so we can send you what you asked for. Every message we send includes a link to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
When you take part in giving and membership
When you give, or become a member, we record your name, your email address, the amount, and the date — so that we can thank you, keep an accurate record, and issue a receipt where one is due.
When you register for an event
We record your name, your email address, how many places you booked, and your ticket. We use it to admit you on the day and to know how many people to expect.
When you create an account
We store your name, your email address, and — if you signed in with Google — the fact that Google confirmed the address is yours. We never see your Google password.
When you comment on a post
Your name and comment are published on the site once approved. Your email address, if you give one, is not published.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiry date and security code go directly to Stripe and never reach our systems — we see only that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits. Stripe's own privacy policy governs what they do with it.
Cookies and how the site remembers you
This site sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar service.
When you sign in, your session is kept in your browser's session storage and is erased when you close the tab. It exists so the site knows you are signed in from one page to the next.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:
Alloymobile — the platform this website runs on, which stores the site's data on a server in Ontario, Canada.
Stripe — payment processing.
SendGrid — sending email, including the newsletter and receipts.
Cloudflare — delivering the site and storing photographs and files.
Some of these providers operate outside Canada, which means your information may be stored or processed in another country and, while it is there, may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We would disclose it only if the law required us to.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through the contact form are kept while they are useful to answer and then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Records of payments and receipts are kept for as long as Canadian tax and record-keeping rules require. Accounts are kept until you ask us to close them.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you may ask us:
what personal information we hold about you,
to correct anything that is wrong,
to delete information we no longer need to keep,
to stop sending you email, at any time.
Write to [email protected] and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge for asking.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Where a child takes part in an event, we deal with their parent or guardian.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to the information behind it is limited to the people who need it to do their work. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that puts your information at real risk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where the change is significant, we will say so on the site.
