What we believe

We hold to the historic Christian faith as the evangelical churches of Eritrea and Ethiopia have received and confessed it.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, trustworthy and sufficient for faith and life. We read it together, and we expect it to speak.

We believe in one God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, that he was crucified for our sins, raised bodily on the third day, and will return.

We believe salvation is by grace, through faith, and not by anything we have earned. It is a gift.

We believe the Holy Spirit is at work in the church today — giving gifts, healing, convicting, and forming Christ in ordinary people.

We believe the church is a family, not a building or a programme. That is why our Sundays are long and our coffee afterwards is longer.
